Terrorist Zreik: We Instigated Syrian People to Protest, Received Funds from Abroad

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Terrorist Fadi Zreik on Friday confessed to participating in the huge media campaign against Syria in the last few months.

In confessions broadcast on the Syrian TV, terrorist Zreik said that he received guidance from some instigating media channels and he worked as a false eye-witness during Hama events, especially after the armed terrorist groups had set blockades and killed innocents.

Terrorist Zreik added that he worked, along with other people, on instigating people to protest, indicating that people from outside Syria phoned him and asked him to videotape the protests.

"Bilal Taha in Belgium, who is the webmaster of the so called 'Sham Network', phoned me and told me to videotape the protests and send the photages to him. Abdul-Kadir Shakaki and Samih Marmar in Saudi Arabia also phoned me saying they were from the abroad opposition. Attar Terkawi also called me."

"We fabricated many rumors in Hama city in order to make people participate in the protests… We said that if the number of people wasn't large, the army will enter the city and commit massacres." He added.

He pointed out that Bilal Taha sent him a Saudi SIM card to call some media channels, adding that Taha communicated with several media channels such as al-Jazeera, BBC, al-Arabiya, and news agencies such as AP and AFP telling them to cooperate with Zreik and broadcast the protests.

"Misleading media presented me several times as the eye-witness 'Ahmad al-Hussein'… All news on the number of people killed or the lack of food or water were mere lies." He confessed.

"Attar Terkawi and someone called Abdul-Samad al-Issa had received huge amounts of money from someone called 'Abu Nasir' from the Saudi Arabia. Abdul-Kadir Shakaki, also lives in the KSA, sent me about 900 thousand Syrian pounds." He concluded.
